Ticket Exchange – setting the record straight
5th March 2026
We are aware of some concerns and misunderstandings circulating about the proposed ticket exchange scheme, so after discussions with the Club tonight we want to help be absolutely clear about what it is – and what it is not.
- The ticket exchange will be optional, not mandatory.
- It would apply only to selected games, typically those expected to sell out.
- There is no requirement to tell the club whether you’re attending a match.
- There is no attendance tracking, no “yellow/red cards”, and no risk of losing your season ticket.
- If you choose to release your seat for a match you can’t attend, you’ll receive a credit on your ticketing account (not points) to use against future tickets.
The aim is of this scheme is simple: if a game sells out but seats are unused, this gives supporters the choice to release their seat so another fan can attend, while the original holder receives something back in return. It’s about flexibility and fairness, not enforcement of attendance at games.
Nothing has been introduced yet, and Club will share full details clearly before anything goes live but hopefully the above alleviates some of the concerns about the proposal
Volunteers required to support Bradford City Community Foundation
The Supporters Board recently announced an official partnership with the Bradford City Community Foundation. A key objective of the partnership is aimed at engaging a team of volunteers to support the outstanding work that the Community Foundation carries out to benefit people across the district.
We are interested in hearing from anyone who would like to get involved in supporting this fantastic charity. The intention is to create a list of volunteers to form a working group who would be willing to commit some time to support the Community Foundation in delivering some of their projects and initiatives to make a difference.
The range of current projects is diverse, with opportunities to get involved in areas such as helping out in the City Hub, match day assistance in Billy’s Coop, helping to develop a new community garden or helping to support some of the regular community groups hosted by the foundation such as dementia, mental health and wellbeing groups. As a member of the working group there will also be opportunities to get involved in projects to support the club in and around the ground.
There are dozens of ways to get involved, there is no minimum frequency or time commitment. Opportunities will be shared with the group in advance and involvement will be appreciated whether occasional or regular, a couple of hours or a full day.
We plan to host a meeting in the near future for all potential volunteers to hear more about the Foundations work and specific projects requiring assistance.
If you would like to get involved or be kept informed with no commitment, please email vicechairman@supportersboard.com or contact us via the website form. We’ll be in touch soon.
Thank you in advance.

Supporters Board Statement on Pyrotechnics
The Bradford City Supporters Board are dismayed at another example of Pyrotechnics being used during games by ‘fans’ of our club during the recent game vs Doncaster Rovers.
We urge fans as individuals to no longer participate in this activity, but also to whistle blow on any fans you see using them going forwards to the relevant authorities/club officials.
Not only do these pyrotechnics put fans and players at risk but the use of them does come with sanctions by the EFL which mean the club could end up being fined – and surely you would rather the club have that money to invest in the playing squad instead.
Finally, given our clubs history it is baffling why some fans have lost sight of the fact that smoke suddenly emanating from sections of the stands is going to cause undue stress to those who were impacted by the events of 11th May 1985.
For those that want to read further information regarding the dangers of Pyrotechnics at games, the EFL have published the below statement.
The club have also published the below statements related to previous issues with pyrotechnic use by City fans.

Can you Volunteer at the City Hub?
The City Hub opened in December 2022 and combines a Community Cafe and a Community Hub to
help them service the people of Bradford. Their aim is for the City Hub to become a safe space that
provides various services from a Dementia Cafe, Health & Wellbeing Sessions, Community Groups
and Youth Clubs.
Can you spare any time to volunteer in the role of a Community Cafe Team Member?
